A total of 55 were recorded in Fujairah, authorities said on Wednesday, May 14.
The Fujairah Environment Authority (FEA) said that were minor to moderate in severity and added that no were detected. The infractions were linked to varying degrees of non-compliance, prompting corrective measures.
The FEA said that it had carried out 1,702 inspections during the first quarter of 2025, resulting in a 5% increase in environmental compliance compared to the same period last year.
The inspections, conducted by the Authority’s Environmental Compliance and Inspection Team, reflect a broader push to ensure industrial establishments across the emirate adhere to environmental regulations and support the Authority’s 2023–2025 strategic goals.
The Authority has also activated its 24/7 emergency and inspection response team, which is reachable via the toll-free number 800368 for public complaints and environmental reporting.
In addition to emergency readiness, round-the-clock inspections are conducted to verify ongoing compliance, identify violators, and guide them toward corrective measures while raising awareness of environmental responsibility.
